Updated: November 5, 2026

You can request a refund of a top-up’s unused prepaid balance within 7 days of successful payment. BrushLLM covers payment and refund processing fees; they are not deducted from your refund.

Eligible balance

Submit your request within 7 days of the successful top-up. We use the time your request email reaches us. Each top-up has its own deadline; a later payment does not extend an older payment’s deadline.

The refundable amount is the unused part of an eligible top-up, up to the amount actually paid for that order. API usage already completed and billed is not unused balance.

Amount and fees

We check the order, usage charges and previous refunds, then confirm the amount with you. The balance covered by the refund is removed from your account.

For example, if you topped up $20 and used $5, the remaining $15 is refunded when eligible. We do not deduct payment or refund processing fees.

How to apply

Within 7 days, email [email protected] from your registered account address with the subject “Refund request”. Include the order number, payment date, amount paid and requested refund amount. If you cannot find the order number, attach the payment receipt.

Pause the relevant API keys to avoid further usage during review. Do not send passwords, complete API keys, full card numbers or card security codes. We do not need them.

Review and arrival time

We normally reply and review your request within 2 business days. If we need more information, we will reply to your email. The request deadline is measured against your first email, not the date you finish providing supporting information.

Once verified, the refund is sent to the original payment method. Stripe refunds typically take another 5–10 business days, depending on the bank or payment provider. Reply to the same email if your payment method is no longer available or the refund has not arrived.

Subscriptions

The prepaid-balance refund rule above does not apply to subscriptions. Unused allowances or early cancellation do not qualify for a prorated subscription refund, except where required by law or to correct a billing error.

Cancelling stops future renewals. The current paid period remains available under the plan’s terms.

Expired deadlines, errors and account closure

Top-ups older than 7 days and usage already consumed are outside this balance-refund policy. Closing an account does not restart the deadline. If you want both a refund and account closure, mention both so we can settle the account first.

Contact us about duplicate charges or billing errors even after the balance-refund deadline. This policy does not limit any refund or other remedy available under applicable law.
